Storm archive

Storm days are the days this site exists for, and they deserve a record. Every storm day leaves its trace in the status history: the traction postings, the closures, the reopenings, timestamped as they happened. This archive collects those traces so a February argument about what the canyon did in January has an answer.

How a storm day gets archived

The archive is automatic, which is what makes it trustworthy. The hourly logger writes an entry whenever a corridor's status or traction posting changes, and a storm day is simply a day dense with entries: the evening before, a Class posting up to 24 hours ahead of the snow; the morning, control closures in the Cottonwoods; the afternoon, reopenings in sequence. Nothing here is written up after the fact from memory.

On the day itself, the work follows the storm day playbook: verdicts refreshed, closure pages live, and the media page updated so local news and radio can quote the status with a source attached.

Archived storm entries

No storm entries yet. The archive fills itself from the status history starting with the first logged change after the live feed connects. The first real storm will write the first real archive.
